Simon Howse: Owner and Operator. Simon, a rugby player and former electrician hails from Sydney, Australia. He moved to Fernie eight years ago attracted to the deep powder, beautiful scenery and friendly people of Fernie. He found his true love, has started a family, and now enjoys being the father to his two lovely girls!

A hardworking individual, he helped open up Fernie's first hostel and has enjoyed restoring and renovating historical buildings in the heart of downtown Fernie. The Grand Central Hotel, The Fernie Hotel & Pub and The Fairview Apartments are all completely renovated and presently he is working on a new and exciting condo project at the Old High School.

 Our Staff: Marj Bax has been working for us since day one. Always smiling, this local gal is sure to get you laughing. The Fernie wouldn't be what it is without her!

Bill Carey, a.k.a. "Chilly Willy" manages our new Cold Beer & Liquor Shop. Stop in for the "Coldest Beer In Town" and have a yak about his latest golf game. Always a good story!

The remaining staff are a mixed bunch from Canada and all over the world. Guessing the accent is a game the locals are getting quite good at! Our helpful staff make the pub a special and unique place.
